- Congrats to Pat Kelly – the 2019 recipient of “The Spirit of Recovery Award.” The award is in honor of Dr. Joe Galletta, that his spirit and dedication to the field of recovery live on through the work of others. Pat Kelly is the 10th recipient to receive this distinguished award and is so deserving. This year it was held In Palm Springs at the beautiful Spencer’s Restaurant, and had the largest attendance since it’s beginning 10 years ago. - “Rounding the Bases to Better Nutrition” this weekend was the 5th Health & Wellness presentation I chaired and coordinated for my South Shores residential association. Included in this picture with me are the two speakers, Dani Rodriguez-Brindicci, MS, RDN – Director of Clinical Nutrition, and Debra Nessel, RDN, CDE – Level III Clinical Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator – both with Torrance Memorial Medical Center. They presented nutritional tips with baseball metaphors and made it fun and educational!
